CST GmbH - Colour Scanner Technology
The latest patented development in screen making using latest available technology. Digital Light Engraving exposes the coated screen without masking by wax, ink or film. No consumables are needed. The DLE machine requires no special dark room, no special chemicals, no film and noseperate UV exposure station. Resolution from 500 - 1,800 dpi are possible depending on the selection of optics and lenses. The Digital Micromirror Device (DMD) modulates the light from the high power UV exposure lamp while exposing the image on the emulsified screen, using approx. 800,000 micro mirrors. The screen is exposed continuously in a seamless motion and not in a step-and -repeat method that could result in visible seams. Every mirror images a perfect pixel.
